Ryan Tubridy has been given a boost on the Late Late Show, with Gay Byrne insisting he doesn’t need to improve.
The RTE star recently revealed he was meeting up with the longest ever host of the show in a bid to improve for next season.
However Gaybo told Goss.ie that he only gives Tubs “little pointers” – with his biggest tip for presenters to listen.

“We just have little chats from time to time, just little conversations. I give him little pointers,” he said.
“Who says he needs any improvements? We just have little conversations. My tip to any presenter is just the same boring, boring advice. And I’ve been saying it for years: listen.”
Tubridy had told Goss.ie in an interview at the launch of 2FM’s summer schedule he wanted to boost himself.

“I’ve done five years of the Late Late – I just felt it was time to reflect. I’ve got a lot of work to do this summer on honing my act,” he explained.
“I’m going to be doing a lot of watching of interviews and things down through the years – at home and abroad. I just want to up my game for the autumn. I think I’d like to do that.”
