The station previously revealed they might be outsourcing programmes to independent production companies

RTE is set to enter talks between it’s management and unions about the outsourcing of children’s TV programmes.

It was revealed previously that the broadcaster would look into outsourcing channels RTEjr and RTE2 to independent production companies.

In a statement released after the talks, the Trade Union Groupthey “had accepted that there has been a breach of the ‘Guiding Principles Agreement’ which commit to prior consultation on significant issues.”
