Revealed: The 13 NEW shows that you will be glued to on RTE Two this season

These are the 13 new shows that we will all be tuning in to RTE Two for this season.

The State station today announced the programmes that will be gracing their schedule – and there is something for everyone.

From the shows that are taking off where Fade Street started, to Bressie, and Japanese pro-wrestling – it’s a good ‘un.

Ladies on camera: The six women starring in Connected

1. Connected

RTE’s newest reality series takes us back to the age of Fade Street – as six women’s lives are documented in this show.

But – taking a queue from a Israeli series – the 20 episodes will be shot by the ladies themselves on their own camera.

Expect to soon know the names Alanna Diggin, Nicole McQuillan, Elayne Harrington, Venetia Quick, Anna Ryan and Kate McGrew.

2. Meet the McDonaghs

She’s back! After becoming pretty much the only contestant anyone cared about on The Voice of Ireland – Kelly now has her own series.

After the success of What Kelly Did Next, this three-part series follows the Traveller singer and her family during their lives in Cork.

3. The Notorious

A month ago, suddenly the whole country loved MMA – and actually knew what it was, all thanks to Conor McGregor.

You’ve probably heard quite a bit about this – and it is also following in the footsteps of Fade Street as well as reality comes back to RTE 2.

5. You Choose You Lose?

He’s become the go-to guy on radio – now Eoghan is truly taking over telly with his own comedy panel show.

He hosts as two teams – captained by Alison Spittle and Keith Farnan – battle it out over a series of rather silly ‘would you rather’ dilemmas.

This sounds so bizarre, it has to be amazing – as cameras follow Bray man Fergal Devitt’s life in Japan.

Oh, he just happens to be one of the biggest names in the bizarre and weird world of Japanese pro-wrestling.

7. Vogue Does the Afterlife

 

After losing her dad in 2010, Vogue Williams wants to discover if death really is the end or not.

So she sets out to investigate if contacting the dead is simply a false hope peddled to the vulnerable.

That means meeting psychics, witches and everything else in between to see if their abilities are actually genuine.

8. The Unemployables

This is a new transformation series devised by Jennifer Maguire and Darren Kennedy.

They set out to try and help struggling young people get off the dole and on to a career path – the opposite to Benefits Street.

Also, Darren is to be seen in six-part series #Trending – an RTE Two version of Xpose.

Expect a lot of carnage as RTE Two goes behind the scenes at the Wright Venue, Ireland’s biggest nightclub.

There will be sore heads, from those caught on camera, that you can be sure of.

13. Bressie’s Teenage Kicks

What a nice guy Bressie is – as he heads to some of Limerick’s toughest estates to put a band together.

The Voice of Ireland coach works with teenagers from different communities across the city and shows that Limerick isn’t as down and out as some think.
