Love/Hate star Johnny Ward has revealed only eight people were trusted with the news that Nidge was being killed.
The TV actor – who played Pauley in the RTE show – said the cast were given redacted scripts it was that top secret.
He added: “I knew I died, I knew Dean died and I knew Janet died, but I’d no idea about Nidge or Siobhan, it’s all so top secret.

“When we were given the scripts the last four scenes were cut, and we were all like, ‘What happens?’, and they said it was top secret.
“Only eight people were allowed to know. Obviously every actor was paranoid because they’re not afraid to kill anyone, which we saw in previous seasons with John Boy and Darren getting the bullet.”

Meanwhile, Johnny told TV Now that it was odd to see himself killed – especially as he played a gig at the same time.
He added: “Myself and my sister have a two-piece band and we had this gig we couldn’t get out of.
“So while we were playing Love/Hate happened to be on the big screen. People did look at me funny but I just acted like it wasn’t me!”
