Revealed: Moone Boy returns in March – with Terry Wogan and Sharon Horgan adding star power

Chris O’Dowd’s hit comedy series Moone Boy is set to return to Sky 1 with an all-star guest line up.

The series, which was recently Best Sitcom at the British Comedy Awards has previously had stars like Bressie and Amy Huberman in it’s line-up.

The upcoming third series will feature the likes of Terry Wogan, Sharon Horgan, John Sessions and Bronagh Gallagher who will all be featured alongside Chris and and David Rawle for the six-part series.

Sir Terry Wogan will star as a host of a home video show in an episode that sees Martin and Padraic attempt to film a hilarious clip in a bid to be featured on TV.

Sharon Horgan plays Sharon Morgan, a high powered, yoga-loving entrepreneur and Liam’s ex- girlfriend while John Sessions stars as Dr. Steven Gnot, a local conspiracy theorist and radio presenter.

The Commitments star Bronagh Gallagher will star as Pat O’Dwyer, mother to Martin Moone’s best friend Padraic.

The massive success of the Sky comedy series has meant US network ABC has already picked up the series for an American remake.

However, Goss.ie previously reported Chris O’Dowd turned down the opportunity to star in the American remake.
