The comedian previously explained that the show would only run for two seasons, but the Emmy success left fans hopeful that season three could be on the horizon.

“It does feel like the story is complete.”
She took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series.

In a video posted to Twitter, the star whispered “not going to happen” when told that fans were waiting for season three.
The star thanked her Fleabag “family” in her acceptance speech, and said that she found it reassuring that a “dirty, pervy, messed-up woman can make it to the Emmys.”
“The journey has been absolutely mental,” she confessed.
