Pat Kenny set to host new TV3 primetime show

Pat Kenny is set to host a new primetime TV3 show, but no deal has been signed yet.

The 68-year-old used to front many shows for RTÉ, most notably The Late Late Show before Ryan Tubridy took over – and now he could be making returning to the small screen, but for a different broadcaster.

“I am always having conversations and I haven’t signed up for anything but it’s something I would always look at depending on what’s on the table,” he revealed.

The show is said to be a brand new, once-weekly programme dealing with the news of the week.

The Dublin native admitted that the large work load of a current affairs programme wouldn’t bother him.

“That kind of workload would be fine,” Pat told to the Irish Sun.

“I wouldn’t be interested in doing any more than that kind of work because I am busy enough as it is.”

The news comes after the Newstalk host cut ties with UTV Ireland.
