Norah Casey has said she “wishes” she missed her radio show on Newstalk, but is happy focusing on her TV career.

The former Dragon’s Den star left her weekly show Mindfeed to focus on her TV career and new novel.

Speaking to Goss.ie Norah said she’s loving life without radio as she films a new RTE show about helping female Travellers get into business.

“I’d love to say I am. I kind of am in a way. I am working seven days a week with this. I have written my book in the meantime, it’s out in October.

New challenges: Norah wants to do more in TV

“I think I took this on thinking it would be a couple of days a week. It just kind of enveloped me a little bit,” She said.

Meanwhile Norah revealed she is glad to be apart of the new Traveller series as she likes to be challenged.

“I am a woman in business; I have been all my life. I love the challenge. I work with kids sometimes who drop out of school early, selling drugs on the street.”

“I believe that there is business acumen inside everybody and especially now a day. If you can teach somebody how to get customers, they’re not going to fab an employer. They’re not going to go to Australia and New Zealand and Canada.”

The Takeover

Business woman: Norah has a new series on RTE

“We do need a new generation of entrepreneurs and maybe we skipped a generation,” she explained.

“I came from a generation where you had to go out and work hard and you know build your business. So I’d love to be able pass on those skills to young people.”
