Michael’s harsh behaviour on Love Island sparks 147 Ofcom complaints

The fireman was criticised for the way he spoke to Amber

Ofcom received 147 complaints over Michael’s behaviour during last night’s Love Island episode.

The fireman was heavily criticised for the way he spoke to Amber, as he once again told her that he’s not interested in rekindling their romance.

An Ofcom spokesman told The Sun Online: “We will assess these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

During last night’s episode, Michael sternly told the 20-year-old beautician to “sit down” before chatting to her.

Watching from across the garden, fellow Islander Maura Higgins said: “Did she just let him talk to her like that? Sit down? That was really rude.”

During tonight’s episode, viewers will see Michael apologise to Amber for the way he spoke to her.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
