Love Island contestant Michael Griffiths has admitted that he fears he has been “suspended” from his employment as a firefighter.
In a since deleted Instagram Live video, the former villa resident said:
“I need to speak to work as right now as I feel like I will be suspended.”
“The rest is a conversation that I need to have with my boss.”
The islander spoke proudly of his work on the show, and previously told This Morning that he hopes to use his fame to raise funds for his former workplace.
He told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford: “Right now I am grateful I even got the opportunity to do it and I still want to support the fire service.”
Michael revealed plans to launch a charity calendar to support his former industry.
“I want to do a fireman calendar and I want to donate a lot of the money to the firefighter charity.”
Michael cut a controversial figure on the show, coupling up with the series winner Amber Gill, before dumping her in favour of newcomer Joanna.
