Lucy Kennedy praying Late Lunch Live's dwindling ratings finally improve

TV star Lucy Kennedy has revealed she’s hopeful that Late Lunch Live will stop being such a ratings flop after moving its time.

The TV3 programme has been shifted forward from 2.30 to 3.30pm after an average of just 25,900 were tuning in each day.

And Lucy said: “I’m hoping with the change in scheduling to 3.30pm, there will be more mums like me tuning in, whereas at 2.30pm it was such a tricky slot.”

Meanwhile the former RTE presenter – who co-hosts with Martin King – has revealed that TV3 bosses have signed off on a second season of the show despite the less than brilliant ratings.

“We have the go-ahead for another season and we don’t actually finish up for the summer so we’re going straight through,” she said.

“We’re pre-recording at the moment and then we go back to live broadcast in three weeks.

“We’ve moved to 3.30 too, which is a much better slot because we were missing out on the audience who were taking the kids on the school run. Now the pressure is really on for us to do well.”
