Love/Hate’s Mary Murray has revealed she wants to nab a role on Orange Is The New Black – and is willing to have on-screen lesbian sex to get the part.
The Dublin native said she does have a problem with the amount of X-rated scenes in the Netflix series, but would “forfeit” her dignity for the show.
“I’d love to be in Orange Is The New Black, except there’s only one problem I have with it. There are a lot of lesbian sex scenes that are really full on,” she said.

“I think that the storylines, dialogue and the opportunities for those actresses are just so incredible that I would forfeit my dignity for a part in it.”
And Mary – who plays prostitute Janet in Love/Hate – knows it would help her escape her current typecasting.
The RTE star admitted she feels she is only picked for one type of role – the “scumbag”.
“I have been type cast, but luckily I do a lot of theater, so casting directors will know I can play any part,” she told VIP Magazine.

“My Mam used to see me in a lot of films where I’d be playing a scumbag, and she’d be telling her friends ‘She doesn’t actually speak like that!’, obviously I’m not naturally Downton Abbey.
“However, I do have to bring it up a few notches too, to become whatever character from the dregs of society I’ve played.
“I played a lovely role recently in a film called Poison Pen, it’s a very different role to what you’ve seen of me on TV, so it will be nice for the public to see me in a different way.”
