Love Island Spoiler: Maura awkwardly references AMY during emotional speech on final night

Oh dear...

From ITV Studios

The final of Love Island airs tonight on Virgin Media Two, and viewers are in for a very soppy episode.

Tonight, one of the final four couples will be crowned the winners of Love Island 2019 – and will be given the chance to nab a £50,000 cash prize.

But before that, viewers will watch the Islanders enjoy their last night in the villa, and the couples make their final declarations to each other.

And Maura is set to raise a lot of eyebrows with her speech, as she awkwardly references former Islander Amy Hart – who had her heart broken by Curtis during her time in the villa.

During her declaration, Maura says: “Curtis. Here before you I stand a very different woman, to the one who walked in the villa seven weeks ago.”

“I had to spend my first few weeks watching somebody else fall in love with you, when all I really wanted was it to be me you were dancing with…”

Maura’s comments are sure to hit a sore spot, as Curtis brutally dumped Amy after she confessed her love for him just a few weeks ago.

After having her heart broken, the air hostess decided to quit the show, leaving Curtis to couple up with Irish gal Maura.

Will Maura’s comments cause controversy?
