Love Island respond to reports that Molly-Mae and Maura knew each other BEFORE entering the villa

Were they friends before they signed up for the show?

Love Island bosses have responded to reports that Molly-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins knew each other before entering the villa.

This week, it was reported that the pair were spotted out for dinner together in Dubai before they signed up for Love Island.

However, a Love Island spokesperson has since rubbished the claims by telling Metro.co.uk: “Maura and Molly-Mae have never met previously to meeting in the villa.”

The news comes after a source told the UK Mirror that Maura and Molly “looked like really good mates” when they were allegedly spotted dining at Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Dubai back in March.

The ‘insider’ said: “They looked like really good mates, not like they had just met each other. The manager and waiters couldn’t take their eyes off them, they were just saying they were beyond-level fit.”

“I thought it was really bizarre they were pretending they didn’t know each other, and especially as they were love rivals, but then it all made sense to me.”

“If they knew each other and Maura was sent in to stir up trouble then it makes sense she would try and hurt Molly on TV, as it would all have been agreed.”

Molly and Maura didn’t get off to the best start in the villa, as they both fought for Tommy Fury’s affections before the boxer eventually picked Molly in a recoupling.

Now, Molly and Maura seem to be the best of friends, now that the Irish beauty has her eye on new boy Tom, and Yewande’s beau Danny.
