Love Island fans are BEGGING for the return of the lie detector test – after the ‘most boring episode ever’

Viewers are NOT happy...

Love Island fans are begging for the return of the lie detector test, after the show’s “most boring episode ever” aired last night.

During Thursday night’s episode, viewers watched three couples go on their final dates before the show comes to an end on Monday.

But viewers were left bored by the show’s lacklustre content, and now they’re calling for bosses to bring back the controversial lie detector challenge to stir things up.

Unfortunately, there’s no chance bosses will bring the challenge back, after iTV officially axed The Jeremy Kyle Show back in May.

The programme was cancelled after 14 years on air, following the apparent suicide of a man who failed a lie detector test on the show.

Every year before the change, Love Island contestants were wired up to a polygraph while answering questions from the person they’re coupled up with – and the dramatic episode always went down a hit with viewers.

However, bosses chose to scrap the popular task to avoid any more controversy, following the deaths of two former contestants, Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon – who both took their own lives.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
