Louis Walsh: 'This could finally be my last EVER year on the X Factor'

Louis Walsh has admitted this could finally be his last year on the X Factor.

The Mayo man returns to the ITV show this evening for his 11th time – the only judge to be on every season.

But the 62-year-old – who previously admitted that he was nearly replaced this time around by a younger star – feels it could be his last time ever on the series.

“When you’re there for 10 years you think, ‘Am I going to get the push’? So you never know what’s going to happen,” he told Newstalk.

“I didn’t think I was going to get the programme back again this year, but then Simon called me and told me he wanted me back.

“He said, ‘ITV are not jumping up and down about you, but I want you back and it’s my show’. He brought me back.

“He’s told us we have to find stars, people who are going to sell records.”

But Louis revealed there will be some major changes to the show when it starts tonight.

He added: “I saw the first show during the week in London and it’s different –

“Simon is spending a lot of money on the show this year and he’s changed a lot of things.”
