Jamie Dornan among nominees for UK’s National Television Awards

Jamie Dornan is one of the nominees for the UK’s National Television Awards.

The Belfast native stars in BBC’s The Fall as Paul Spector but won’t be returning for the next season.

The actor is nominated in the Drama category along with fellow Irish man James Nesbitt for Cold Feet.

Dubliner Aidan Turner’s show Poldark is is also nominated for Best Period Drama alongside Cillian Murpy’s Peaky Blinders.

Jamie, Cillian, James and Aidan are all nominated for Best Drama Performance.

The Graham Norton Show is also up for two awards, Best Presenter and Best Entertainment Programme.

It will be a very emerald evening with Irish man Dermot O’Leary hosting the awards on the 25th of January 2015.

Another Irish name to be nominated in the awards is Brendan O’Carroll for his role in Mrs. Brown’s Boys for Best Comedy.

The comedian won Best Male Performance at this year’s TV IFTAs and was nominated in two other categories – Best Writer and Best Comedy.

The Finglas native received a lot of backlash for his show winning Best British Comedy Of The Century but admitted to Goss.ie that he doesn’t care what people say about it.
