Irish Strictly Come Dancing star Tristan MacManus can’t wait to be paired up with his celebrity partner on the show.
The Wicklow pro dancer will discover who he’s dancing with next Sunday, when the BBC series launches.
Already the 32-year-old has been paired with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Grammy winner Gladys Knight on the US version of the series, Dancing With The Stars.
He said: “I like to think I’m quite natural. And I like to have an awful lot of fun, but at the same time get the job done.
“The thing I am looking forward to most about Strictly is getting to meet my celebrity partner and trying to win that Glitterball.”
Introducing himself to Strictly fans, Tristan said is a “pretty laid back dancer” and is glad the focus will be on the celebrities – rather than in the American show.

He said: “It’s very much about the celebs here so far which is the way it should be.
“We all learn a routine together before the pairs are even announced so it’s great to get to meet everyone at the get-go. There are some great personalities here this year.

“I can’t compare with any previous seasons but everything is very positive and there is no competitiveness just yet which is refreshing.”
Already Mrs Brown’s Boys star Jenny Gibney has signed up for the series – the only Irish celeb.
