Harlan Coben’s new Netflix series Missing You divides fans following the success of Fool Me Once

Harlan Coben’s brand new Netflix series Missing You has divided opinion on social media.

The show was hotly anticipated following the success of his last thriller Fool Me Once, which became one of Netflix’s most-watched shows last January.

The series starred Michelle Keegan as the lead character, and broke streaming records worldwide.

Fool Me Once

Launched on New Year’s Day, Missing You boasts a star-studded cast including Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt, Ashley Walters, Jessica Plummer, Rosalind Eleazar, and Lisa Faulkner.

The synopsis reads: “Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh, the love of her life, disappeared and she’s never heard from him since.

“Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”

While fans were hoping Harlan’s next series would be just as captivating as Fool Me Once, it appears the jury is out on the five-part drama.

A host of viewers who have already binge-watched the entire series have criticised the show on social media, calling out its multiple plot holes.
