Graham Norton to replace Terry Wogan as host for Children In Need

Graham Norton is to replaced Sir Terry Wogan as the new host for the Children In Need concert.

The late Limerick native pulled out of last year’s show due to ill health and died just two months later.

Graham said that it was a “huge privilege” to step in for Terry and this will be his first time fronting the event.

Tess Daly will be hosting the show with the Cork native on the night along with Former Paralympian Ade Adepitan, Radio 1 DJ Greg James and musical couple Marvin and Rochelle Humes.

“This year we’d love to raise as much money as we possibly can in honour of the late Sir Terry Wogan,” Graham said in a statement with the BBC.

The good news comes after the 53-year-old revealed his fears that his chat show could be axed.
