EXCLUSIVE: Jamelia QUITS The Voice – leaving the show with no female coaches

Popstar Jamelia will not be a coach on this year’s season of the Voice of Ireland.

Instead, Goss.ie can reveal that only Westlife star Kian Egan and Bressie have signed up for the new series of the show.

Yesterday, Voice host Kathryn Thomas confirmed to Goss.ie that “two judges had been confirmed” for the show.

But Superstar singer Jamelia joins female judge Dolores O’Riordan in leaving the RTE show – leaving bosses with no females so far.

All change: Last year’s panel on The Voice of Ireland

Insiders revealed that the 33-year-old decided she didn’t want to come back for a third season after being annoyed at the performance of winners after the show ended.

The British star had mentored winner Keith Hanley, but he was recently dropped by Universal after just six months after utterly awful record sales.

“Last year, Jamelia wasn’t convinced about coming back for another series at first, but she was eventually brought around to it by producers,” a source said.

“But now it looks like she has decided a third season isn’t for her. It was also becoming quite tough to juggle with her commitments on Loose Women.

Back: Kian Egan has signed deal to return to the show

“So far only Bressie and Kian have signed up for another season of the show – they really are the two most important coaches so it’s good to have them back.

“Both were really easy to deal with, and pretty much took the same deals they were on last year.”

Bosses are now on the search for two new coaches, with Goss.ie revealing last week that it was expected there would be two new ones.

RTE have explicitly chose to only use I’m A Celebrity winner Kian and Bressie’s faces on their new promo video for the upcoming series of the show.

Tipped: Una Healy is understood to be in running for role on show

Already, The Saturdays’ Una Healy has been tipped for a role – especially as the band are going on hiatus for the rest of the year after their upcoming tour.

However Sinead O’Connor has ruled herself out from being a coach this year because of tour commitments – despite admitting she would love the opportunity to be on the show.
