Actress Eve Hewson has admitted filming Steven Soderbergh’s TV series The Knick was anything but easy.
Eve, 23, stars in the new drama series alongside Clive Owen, which follows staff at New York’s Knickerbocker Hospital in 1900.
The first episode had 1.7 million viewers, but Eve admitted it wasn’t easy working on the show.
“It was a huge learning experience for me. Working with Steven felt like boot camp – he doesn’t do a lot of takes,” she explained.

“We don’t really rehearse, you go in there and you’re thrown into the deep end; you sink or swim.”
“It was incredible, I never thought I’d work with Steven early on in my career,” she added.
Eve said working with Steven, who directed Behind The Candelabra and Ocean’s Eleven, was a great experience.
“His team is a very well-oiled machine – they get things done efficiently, very smoothly,” she said.
