Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have finally addressed Ant McPartlin’s alleged drink-driving arrest on ITV’s This Morning.
After the telly hosts failed to mention the news yesterday after Ant was arrested on Sunday, Holly and Phillip admitted that it was very hard to talk about because Ant is their friend.
Phillip said, “This is difficult for us talking about a friend here. Like many people we are shocked and saddened by this incident involving Ant.”
Holly sent her well wishes to all those “shaken and upset” by the crash, and added, “Personally for Ant, we hope he gets time and space to return to full health.”
Phillip continued, “Ant has now gone back into rehab, but he loves Dec and he loves their career and their fans.”
He then added, “No matter who you are, no matter what you do, if you get into the car after having a drink the responsibility is entirely yours. We wish Ant and all those involved the best.”
