Dublin actor Allen Leech has been nominated for Best Actor at this year’s TV Choice awards.
The Downton Abbey star has been nominated for his role as Tom Branson in the award winning series.

But the actor faces some stiff competition.
Allen is up against Benedict Cumberbatch, who is nominated for Best Actor for his role in hit series Sherlock.
Benedict has been on the up thanks to the BBC series and roles in 12 Years A Slave and Star Trek.
Other actors up for the gong include David Tennant for The Escape Artist and Bradley Walsh for Law & Order: UK.
