The John Lewis Christmas ad’s new star will be a cuddly monster, who has been compared to The Gruffalo.
According to OK! Magazine, they said, “This year the John Lewis advert will revolve around a big cuddly monster. If you can imagine a cross between the Gruffalo and a huge cute teddy bear, that’s the angle they’ve gone for.”
The creative team behind the John Lewis advert have pulled out all the stops this year.
“It’s going to be like nothing they’ve ever done before and will be a million miles away from Buster the Boxer.”
This is the 11th year for the store’s Christmas adverts, and so far they have brought us trampolining boxer dogs, love-struck penguins and an old man exiled on the Moon, spying on earth though a telescope.
The rumoured song that people think is going to feature would be a new version of Last Christmas, paying tribute to the late George Michael.
No confirmation of when the advert will be released, although people are thinking somewhere around Thursday, November 10th.
