Dancing on Ice 2018 – the confirmed contestants so far

Dancing on Ice is set to make a comeback to our screens in January 2018, with a total of 12 celebrities confirmed to be part of the line up.

So far we have been introduced to half of them.

Fans are delighted to hear This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be presenting the popular ITV show.

The judging panel will consist of Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner, as well as legendary skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

The contestants who are confirmed so far are as follows:

Brooke Vincent

The Coronation Street actress, who plays Sophie Webster was the first contestant to be revealed.

Brooke admitted that it’s “killed” her to keep it a secret for so long and that she  “loves a challenge.”

The 25-year-old has already started her training.

The second contestant is best known for singing in eighties pop group, Bucks Fizz.

The 63-year-old has also started her training.

“I wasn’t feeling nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. But as of yesterday, I am feeling nervous!”

Love Island series winner Kem is competing in the skating show. ‘

“I still can’t believe I’m going to be on Dancing on Ice! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be strapping on a pair of skates and dancing in some lycra.”

“Anyone who knows me will know how competitive I am, so I’m going to work very hard to stay on my feet! I can’t wait to get my skates on,” The reality-star said.

The Great British Bake Off winner was unveiled on BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans Show.

Candice revealed that “it’s nerve-wracking!” and her friends call her “Bambi on ice” in normal day-to-day life.

Max Evans

Scottish rugby player Max Evans is set to swap the pitch for the ice rink after signing up for the show.

“I haven’t done any skating since I was a kid, and this is completely different having to skate on live television,” he said.

“I’ve had two training sessions which have hurt my feet a lot.”

The former The X Factor contestant appeared on U.K show Lorraine when it was revealed.

Jake revealed: “I’m terrified. I had my first training session yesterday – I was freezing! Ice is cold!

“But it was amazing, the coaches are unbelievable. I just feel so lucky that I’ve been asked to do it. I’m so buzzing, I can’t even explain. It’s my mums favourite!”
