There have been rumours for months that Jamelia was leaving The Voice of Ireland, and now the British singer has confirmed her departure.
The RTE star admitted the news via Twitter, after Goss.ie earlier revealed Una Foden has been hired as her replacement.
“It is with great regret that I let you know I have chosen not to be a Coach on the next season of The Voice of Ireland,” Jamelia wrote in an Instagram post.

“My other work commitments and upcoming projects have just made it an impossibility for me to be part of the show.”
Goss.ie revealed in August that Jamelia was quitting the show for good, and today the singer confirmed the news.
“It wasn’t an easy decision,” she added. “I will miss the team very much, and I’m gutted I couldn’t make it work this year.”
