Cheryl’s X Factor performance sparks official complaints to Ofcom for being ‘too raunchy’

Cheryl’s X Factor performance sparked official complaints to Ofcom for being “too raunchy”.

The mother-of-one took to the stage on Sunday night and received huge backlash for her comeback performance, as many slated the 35-year-old for her singing.

It has since been revealed that her singing isn’t the only thing viewers were not impressed by, as her performance resulted in fifteen complaints being sent to regulatory body, Ofcom.

“We’ve had 15 complaints objecting to sexual tone and clothing in Cheryl’s routine,” a spokesperson revealed to MailOnline

“We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules before deciding whether or not to investigate.”

Before Cheryl’s performance, a source told The Sun that X Factor bosses were already worried that her routine wouldn’t be “family friendly”, as it aired before the 9PM watershed.
