A teaser for season four of Netflix’s Bridgerton has dropped and confirmed the return of a much-beloved character in the series.
The hit Regency romance show follows the Bridgerton family as they find love during the London social season.
In a behind-the-scenes clip shown at the end of the trailer, Jonathan Bailey is shown waving to the camera – letting viewers know that he will return to his character of Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest of the Bridgerton siblings.
Season four will follow the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) as he navigates his relationship with a newcomer to the ton Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
In the teaser, Sophie is seen wandering through a garden at night dressed in a shimmering gown while wearing a masquerade mask, and she says to Benedict: “It is a spectacular night.”
The pair seemingly go on to dance under the protection of the gazebo together and Benedict reassures her not to “worry” and that he “won’t tell” his mother.
This trailer also confirmed the return of other Bridgerton characters, such as Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), and Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd).
However, gentle readers, the official release date of the newest season has not yet been revealed.
Netflix did not indicate when season four would come out but captioned the video by saying: “Compose yourselves, esteemed members of the Ton, for a preview of the forthcoming season has arrived…”
Speaking with E! News, Nicola Coughlan shared that Bridgerton season four is “going to be amazing” and confirmed that “Luke and Yerin are hard at work.”
The Derry Girls actress also added that they’re “having such a good time” on set.
