Brian McFadden begs the BBC to host Top Gear

Brian McFadden has begged the BBC for the opportunity to host Top Gear.

Yesterday, Chris Evans announced that he was quitting Top Gear after the final episode of the season received seriously low ratings – and it looks like former Westlife star Brian wants to take on the gig.

Taking to Twitter, Brian hilariously contacted the BBC in a series of tweets, and said that he would “happily drive the best cars in the world and get paid for it”.

The 36-year-old also jokingly promised “not to punch any producers” – referring to Jeremy Clarkson’s bust up with producer Oisin Tymon, which eventually led to his departure from the show.

Finally, Brian even offered himself as a “female anchor”, sharing a picture of himself donning some red lips and a blonde wig, while claiming that he’s “very versatile”.

BBC bosses are yet to announce a replacement for Chris Evans, but it’s expected that show favourite Matt LeBlanc will return for a second season.
