While it was a great night for Coronation Street and Eastenders, it was a bad night for the Irish at the TV Choice Awards.
Our very own Allen Leech was up for Best Actor in a drama series but lost out to Hollywood star Benedict Cumberbatch.
The A-lister won for his leading role in BBC series Sherlock.
Winner: Benedict won Best Actor | BBC
And another Irish star who lost out was Graham Norton.
The Cork native was nominated in the Best Entertainment Show category for his chat show The Graham Norton Show.
But Graham lost out to presenting duo Ant and Dec, for their series Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
