Bono has admitted won’t be able to ever watch his actress daughter’s TV sex scenes – as he’d “thump” the man.
The U2 frontman has been delighted to see Eve, 23, shoot to superstardom on US series The Knick.
But asked if he’d be able to watch the upcoming X-rated scenes, Bono admitted: “I would have a problem watching that stuff. Someone might get a thump.”
However the 54-year-old said he is delighted at how well she has done so far with The Knick, which has become a major success in America.

He added: “The Knick is pretty incredible. Stephen Soderberg is a genius. And I’ve just been told I can watch up to episode seven – and then apparently stuff goes down that I can’t see.”
And speaking on the Late Late Show, Bono admits his offspring is proving that she is a daft hand in the acting business, even bagging Brad Pitt’s manager for herself.
“She’s very smart, very hard working. Ali has really tried to be helpful and ask her things like, ‘Have you got the right agent?’
“And she says, ‘Ah, I’ll sort that out’. Then she comes back and says, ‘I think I need a manager as well – I’m not getting any parts.’

“And her mother says, ‘But, a manager as well as an agent, they’d have another percentage of that’. She says, ‘Yeah, a percentage off nothing. I need a manager’.
“‘Well, do you need any help?’ ‘No, I’m fine.’ Then she comes back, ‘I’ve got a manager – Cynthia – she’s fantastic’.
“‘What has she done, Eve? What’s her experience? Why do you think she can manage you?’ ‘She’s manages Brad Pitt.’ ‘Oh, okay’.
“Eve is a dedicated actress and she deals much better with rejection than I.”
