Amber gill has revealed that she lied in her video interview for the 2019 summer series of Love Island.
Taking to her Instagram story, the star explained that she wanted to “sound interesting” to stand out from the rest of the potential line up.
“So I’ve been getting messages all the time – well, not all the time, the past two days – about the new islanders and what I think of the new Love Island,” she said.
“To be honest, I’m really excited to watch it because it’s not gonna be stress because I’m not in it, I’m just gonna sit on the sofa and relax and watch it and give my opinions and get involved in the memes.”
She then added: “As far as my opinions go on the islanders, it’s hard to say. I don’t wanna get an opinion yet.”
Amber revealed that she said a number of false things during her video interview – but hinted that so far, she likes Mike and Leanne the best.
“I was saying all kinds of madness on my VT,” she revealed.
“I wouldn’t want anyone to judge me on that – even though that’s what it’s there for.”
She continued: “But, I’m sure I said I’d never been rejected or something like that, which is a full on lie but I just wanted to sound interesting.”
For clarity, she wrote: “Well not a lie but I’ve never been rejected because I’ve never made the first move.”
Amber ultimately ended up winning the show, alongside Irishman Greg O’Shea – who today announced that he was giving away his Love Island memorabilia in aid of the Aussie wildfire relief efforts.
