Irish star Allen Leech looks set to be out of a job – as hit series Downton Abbey is coming to an end.
The Dublin actor who plays Tom Branson in the series, has spent the last few weeks attending prestigious awards like the Golden Globes and the SAGAs and now sources say he’s been meeting with top US agents.
“It’s an open secret that Downton is ending this year,” an insider revealed.
“Some of the actors are keen to let it be known they will be available for work after the summer. Some are interested in the US, where Downton is as popular as it is in the UK.

“Joanne Froggatt, Edith Carmichael and Allen Leech were in Los Angeles for the awards last week and there were several meetings about both TV and film roles,” the source told the Mirror.
But thankfully Allen has already proven himself as a star on the big screen too, with his latest movie The Imitation Game tipped for Oscar glory.
