Actor Simon Delaney to guest host new TV3 series The Seven O'Clock Show

Actor Simon Delaney is due to guest-present the brand new The Seven O’Clock Show on Friday.

The Bachelors Walk star will fill in for Martin King and will join regular presenter Lucy Kennedy on the couch for the chat show which kicks off its first episode tonight.

Upcoming guests on the new series include actors Moe Dunford and Sean McGinley, broadcasters Ivan Yates and Ian Dempsey and singer Mary Black.

The Seven O’Clock show has been brought in to replace the former Late Lunch Live and the new show will now go up against Emmerdale airing on rival channel UTV Ireland.

“The new format will see a mix of new features and old favourites from ‘Late Lunch Live’ as well as an array of well-known guests and lots of audience interaction,” a statement read.

Presenter Lucy Kennedy previously revealed she is delighted with the show moving to a later evening slot.

“We’ve a loyal audience but this new slot at 7pm will allow us to bring the madness to a much wider audience. It’s so exciting!”
