EXCLUSIVE: Simon Delaney reveals he'd LOVE to return to hit series The Good Wife

Irish actor Simon Delaney has revealed that he would love to shoot more scenes for the hit CBS drama The Good Wife.

The Dubliner starred as lawyer Timothy Brannon the popular drama in 2011 and told Goss.ie he plans to return to the US and wants to make a return to the award winning series.

When asked if he would go back to the show, Simon said:

“That’s the plan, I’m consistently auditioning for stuff in the States and hopefully more of that work will come up.

“It was a great two weeks in New York filming that because it’s one of the biggest shows in America but yeah I’d love to do more of it,” he said

Speaking at the Bord Gais Energy ahead of judging the Student Theatre Awards Simon said he loves working in the US.

“America is a great place to work as an actor and you’ve only got to look at the level of stuff that’s coming out of the States in terms of TV drama and TV comedy.

“It’s the best in the world,” he told Goss.ie

Simon will judge the Musical Theatre categories at the awards and will act as the MC at the awards ceremony on the 4th March next year.

The 42-year-old is also busy with his two production companies – Three Lads Media and Curveball films.

“We launched them three months ago. One of them is looking after TV commercial production and then the other one is going to concentrate on documentaries,” he said.

“We’re kind of just starting the two of them up now and one of them has a project that’s going to shoot next year in the States so that’s going to keep me busy.

Meanwhile, the TV star offered his sympathy to panto star Twink for getting dropped from this years Limerick panto – but insisted that she would “bounce back.”

“I haven’t a clue if she left by either mutual agreement or whatever,” he said

“It’s hard to know what happened or what didn’t happened but you know it’s never good to hear when someones lost a job but that’s showbiz.”

“She’s being doing panto every year for the last 30 years so it will be strange for her not to be working at Christmas but Twink will bounce back – she always does.”
