Ambition: Brian would love to host his own show

“I’d love a show like that where I get to talk to people. I think we need a show like that.

Speaking at the Freedom of Dublin fashion show at the Citywest Hotel, Brian also gave his thoughts on The Voice, a show he was a judge on in the first series opposite Bressie, Kian Egan and Sharon Corr.

The former Eurovision star admitted none of the contestants have gone on to great success but reckons that could be more down to the viewers than the talent.

“I think you need a record company to get behind you. It seems to be the format of those shows, have they really found anybody?

“The format of the show is saying, ‘this person is good this year, but next year, we’re going to find a replacement.’

“It’s like saying that person doesn’t matter anymore. I think it’s a case of burnout with the people at home,” he told Goss.ie.
