The Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes This Year

Halloween was a little different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, which meant people swapped Trick or Treating and parties for dressing up in the comfort of their homes.

This didn’t stop celebrities from pulling out all the stops, showing off incredible costumes for the spooky season.

We’ve rounded up some of the best celebrity Halloween costumes from this year:

Kylie and Kendall Jenner 

The Kardashian-Jenner clan are known for going all out with their Halloween costumes, and this year was no different for the famous family.

Kendall and Kylie recreated an iconic look that they previously wore as kids, pairing the costumes with wigs.

The stunning sisters put a modern and stylish twist on the recreated costumes, completely the look with awkward smiles.

 
Maura Higgins

Maura Higgins looked unrecognisable as she ditched her brunette locks for an icy blonde wig, mimicking pop icon Christina Aguilera.

Wearing a red and white striped bikini top with cut-out black leather and red trousers, the Love Island star looked identical to the singer in her Dirty music video.

The McGregors

Conor McGregor shared sweet family snaps with his fiancée Dee Devlin, and their two children Croia and Conor Jr, as they celebrated Halloween at home together.

The MMA star described his look as a “Batman Joker hybrid”, while Dee wore a orange and black period costume.

Croia looked adorable in a little red riding hood get up, while Conor Jr went for an astronaut costume.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X dressed up as hip-hop star Nicki Minaj in this iconic look, recreating her famous music video to Super Bass.

Sharing photos of the costume to Instagram, the Old Town Road rapper gained a lot of praise from a host of A-lister friends for his creativity.

Iggy Azelea commented on the post: “You win Halloween 2020!”

Cardi B

Cardi B pulled out all the stops for the spooky season this year, dressing up as fictional Greek creature Medusa.

Medusa is best known as being a Gorgon with living venomous snakes in place of hair, with Cardi completely the dramatic look with a snakes tail on her bottom half.

Saweetie

Saweetie took inspiration from beloved girl group Destiny’s Child for her Halloween look, where she dressed up as Beyoncé.

The Tap In rapper posed alongside her pals as they recreated the cover of the band’s hit track Bootylicious.

Taking it one step further, the 26-year-old also recreated the music video for the track.

Terrie McEvoy and David Fitzpatrick

Irish influencer Terrie McEvoy and her husband David Fitzpatrick’s Halloween looks this year sent their followers into hysterics, with the beloved couple dressing up as each other.

Poking fun at David’s obsession with cleaning, Terrie posed with a hoover in the hilarious snaps, while in another snap she held up a “I love birds” sign to make fun of his love of nature.

Meanwhile, David pouted as he held up a bottle of his wife’s Bahama Body tanning lotion.

Pia Mia

Pia Mia dressed up as Tim Burton’s beloved Corpse Bride for her Halloween costume.

The animated musical fantasy film follows skeleton-like creature Emily, who whisks a shy groom away to the land of the dead.

Wearing a blue wig and skeleton-like makeup, the singer posed alongside a coffin and cobwebs, captioning her Instagram photos with a quote from the film.

“I always hoped to find someone to fall deeply in love with,” she wrote, “Someone to spend the rest of my life with. Silly, isn’t it?”

Supermodel Kendall Jenner ditched her dark locks for a blonde wig as she channelled Pamela Anderson.

The 24-year-old dressed up as Pamela’s character Barb Wire in the 1996 movie under the same name, posing on a motorbike in a leather bodysuit and thigh-high boots.

Kendall replaced Pamela’s character’s gun with a Vote flag, encouraging her followers to vote in the upcoming US election.

Tadhg Fleming and his family

Tadhg Fleming and rose to fame after sharing a viral video back in 2017 of his dad Derry trying to catch a bat in their kitchen, creating thousands of hilarious videos since.

The Kerry natives showed off their humorous side once again for their Halloween costumes this year, dressing up as characters from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Derry dressed up as Willie Wonka, while his wife and children dressed up as Oompa Loompas.

Laura Whitmore 

Blonde beauty Laura Whitmore dressed up as beloved sorority girl Elle Woods for the Celebrity Juice Halloween special.

The Love Island presenter gave the Legally Blonde title character a spookier twist by adding fake blood to her neck, with Elle’s dog Bruiser looking slightly scary with fangs and blood shot eyes.

Quoting one of Elle’s most iconic lines, Laura captioned her Instagram post of the look: “Bend and…. SNAP!!”

Maya Jama

Also getting all glammed up for the Celebrity Juice Halloween special, Maya Jama looked unrecognisable in her epic costume.

The presenter dressed up as Jessica Rabbit, a fictional character in Who Censored Roger Rabbit?

Wearing a bright red wig, a sparking red gown, paired with long purple gloves, Maya looked the image of the cartoon character.

Kylie Jenner and friends

Kylie Jenner and her friends transformed into the Power Rangers for a pre-Halloween party during the week.

The 23-year-old dressed up as the Red Power Ranger, and was joined by her BFF Stassie Karanikolaou, Victoria and Sofia Villarroel, and their male friend Carter Gregory.

Kylie previously teased that she would be dressing up as a Minion with Travis Scott and their daughter Stormi, with photos still to come.

Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban

Kim Kardashian and her BFF Jonathan Cheban are known for dressing up together, previously celebrating Halloween as Cher and her ex-husband Sonny Bono.

This year, the duo dressed as Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic, while Kim’s kids North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm dressed as tigers.

Kim, Jonathan and her four kids then posed for photos in her backyard, in front of a giant metal cage.
