The Dublin native admitted that when she was younger, she would wear baggy clothes and wasn’t able to wear what her friends wore.

“I used to have to wear tracksuit pants and baggy clothes and I was never able to wear what my friends wore and that was horrible,” she revealed in an interview with Irish Country Magazine.

“That’s a feeling that will never leave me.”

Despite the growth and diversity of the industry now, Louise said that it should not get rid of the term plus-size.

“But what people don’t understand is that getting rid of the term plus-size would be a step back for the fashion industry.

“So while it’s still debated, it’s still really important to have that term because brands are being pushed by the way the industry is going.

“They’ve being influence by plus-size bloggers, influenced by the community and if we get rid of that, it would be a step back and retailers might not feel the need any more to be inclusive.

“It would be lovely to see a brand on the high street, any of the ones that go from an eight to say a 22 – it would be lovely to see them go for diversity, whether that’s age or ethnicity or size in their main campaign – not just a once-off or for a special line,” she added.
