Brendan Courtney: 'Irish men are afraid of dressing too GAY'

Fashion designer Brendan Courtney has said Irish men tend to shy away from stylish clothes.

The former Off The Rails host said most men don’t look to him for style inspiration.

“I doubt men look at me for inspiration as I’m gay and heaven forbid Irish men don’t want to be looking ‘too gay’,” he said.

But Brendan, who owns fashion brand Lennon Courtney, admitted Irish men have celebs like Paul Galvin and David Beckham to look to for fashion advice.

“But I think Paul Galvin and the likes of David Beckham make it okay for Irish men to take more pride in their fashion and appearance.”

“Overall I think Irish men will continue to be more fashion conscious and that can only be a good thing,” he told the Star.
