Xposé’s Ruth O’Neill on dating: ‘I can’t deal with guys – they’re all the same’

The presenter thinks guys are all the same everywhere

Ruth O’Neill has opened up about her love life, and admitted that she doesn’t have time to date – due to the nature of her job.

The presenter, who juggles a gruelling schedule on Xposé, moved back to Ireland earlier this year after spending five years working in Los Angeles – and she still hasn’t explored the dating scene in Dublin since her return.

“I have no time for myself, I don’t even know whether I could make time for someone. I’ve honestly no time. I have barely spend any time going in Dublin for the last few months actually, I haven’t.”

“Xpose is 10 years going next March and we are getting more access. A lot of this stuff comes up last minute. You’re literally told the night before, ‘Hey can you fly to London? You’re doing this, this and this.’ And you have to rush to pack your bags.

“At fashion week I was told two days before that I was going to New York. If you’re going to work on Xpose, you have to be able to take the pressure and the deadlines,” she told the Herald.

The 28-year-old also admitted that no matter what country you’re in, all guys are generally the same.

“English guys are very gentleman-like and very polite. Irish guys are very funny, they’re good at banter. Guys are all kind of the same everywhere, I just can’t deal with them,” she said.

Tinder: The presenter admitted she might consider online dating | VIPIRELAND.COM

However, Ruth also revealed that she might consider joining the online dating world of Tinder – but not in Ireland.

“Recently, I’m thinking maybe I would, but maybe not in Dublin though,” she added.

“Dublin is very small, I hate when you see you’ve got 150 Facebook friends in common. I don’t think I’d go on it in Ireland.”
