Westlife’s Mark Feehily set for same-sex partnership on Strictly Come Dancing

Mark Feehily is reportedly set to be part of Strictly Come Dancing’s first same-sex couple, in a historic move.

The Westlife star is apparently “in talks” to join the dance competition this Autumn, and would be paired up with professional Johannes Radebe.

It comes just weeks after reports that show bosses were actively seeking gay, bi and lesbian celebrities to take part in same-sex dance pairs.

“Mark’s a big Strictly fan. Nearly all the celebs are signed up, but the Beeb are keen to make this work and get him on board,” a source told The Sun.

According to the report Mark had been asked to join the reality show in 2019, but had to turn it down due to touring with Westlife.

“It would have to be with a guy as it would feel strange for me to go with a girl,” Mark previously said of joining the show.

It comes after reports that the cast of the upcoming series will have to isolate together during the show, meaning stars and their dance partners would be separated from their families during the season.

On the latest episode of Goss Chats, Ali Ryan chats to Ronan Keating about his stat-studded upcoming music special, and working with Robbie Williams on a special new song dedicated to Stephen Gately.

#GossChats is sponsored by top aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve, which is now back open for bookings.
