Westlife songwriter: ‘Louis Walsh wants the band back together’

Songwriter Albert Hammond has revealed that Louis Walsh wants to bring back Westlife.

The Irish boy band first got together in 1998 before splitting up 14 years later in 2012.

“[Louis] asked me for some songs because he says, ‘I’m going to bring back Westlife so can you write some songs for me.'” Albert said.

The band’s songwriter continued that the music manager surprised him by coming into his dressing room whilst he was at Lionel Richie’s Punchestown gig, where Shane Filan was the supporting act.

“I haven’t seen Louis for years,” he told the Daily Star.

“Suddenly he walks in my dressing room, ‘Albert, it’s Louis.'”

Louis has recently said that he doesn’t think that RTE can’t afford to have him on their upcoming Dancing With The Stars show.
