Westlife fans were filled with nostalgia after the boyband shared some throwback snaps to mark a special milestone.
On Saturday, the hit Irish boyband, consisting of Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden, celebrated 25 years since they released their debut album.
Taking to Instagram the band shared a number of clips from their early music videos from the self-titled album.
They captioned the post: “25 years ago we released our debut album ‘Westlife’ 🖤”
“Time really flies… what’s your favourite track from the album?”
Fans flooded to the comments to share their memories as a band, admitting they can’t believe it has been 25 years.
One fan wrote: “These songs were part of my childhood🥹❤️❤️”
Another commented: “I’m 37 now but still love Westlife and the songs always remind me of a kid at Xmas because I used to get the album and video every year ❤️”
A third said: “Oh the nostalgia for each of these songs 😂🩷”
A fourth added: “How old does this make you feel! 😂😂❤️❤️ 25 bloody years!!”
Last month, Nicky Byrne has revealed why Westlife nearly split up for good before their biggest-ever hit stormed the charts.
Nicky revealed the band almost called it quits after Brian McFadden dramatically quit the band in 2004.
The singer left the popular Irish boyband in 2004 to work on solo projects, and is now making music and touring with Boyzone star Keith Duffy as ‘Boyzlife.’
While speaking with Gary Barlow on his new podcast, Nicky explained: “We were going to split up before You Raise Me Up. That was the feeling.”
“Brian had left in 2004, we had done a year without him. Then Simon Cowell had this idea of us doing a Rat Pack album.”
“It sounded phenomenal but it didn’t sell like a Westlife pop album and our tour suffered a bit,” he explained.
