WATCH: Jamie Dornan reveals losing his mother had the ‘biggest impact’ on his life

The actor recalled having to grow up fast after her death

Jamie Dornan has revealed that losing his mother has had an “ever evolving effect” on him.

The ‘Fifty Shades’ actor has opened up about losing his mother, at the charity launch for NIPanC.

His mother Lorna Dornan tragically died of pancreatic cancer when the actor was only 16.

Speaking at the launch h discussed the death of his mother he said how “there has been no bigger impact in my life.”

Jamie continued saying how her passing has an “evolving effect on me, that loss, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”

“I feel like every single day it has an effect on me in ways which I am aware of and some ways I think I am not aware of.”

“But, I am not alone in that, lots of people have lost people that are very dear to them at a young age.”

The father of two said how after her passing “I had to grow up pretty fast.”

Jamie, who found huge success starring in the ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise, said how his mother was “very glamorous” and would have loved the glitz and glam of Hollywood “would have liked that side of things,” he said.

The 36-year-old was joined at the launch by his father Dr. Jim Dornan and his sister Jessica Dornan.
