Vogue Williams clashed with her husband Spencer Matthews on the latest episode of their podcast, after he said she ‘puts her career first sometimes’.

The TV presenter recently landed a role on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, and has to travel to Leeds once a week to film the show.

Speaking on their Spencer & Vogue podcast, the mum-of-two said: “I got a new job this week which I’m very pleased about. I’m joining the Steph Show and it films up in Leeds.”

“I’ve never seen someone’s face drop so hard when I told him that I was going to be spending some time in Leeds.”

Spencer then defended himself by saying: “I want your career to go from strength to strength. You put your career first sometimes which is absolutely fine as do I, a lot of the time.”

“But you wouldn’t be deterred from a job if it was spending five days in Leeds and we’ve got two kids at home.”

Vogue then revealed her husband always gets nervous when she starts a new gig, including her Heart radio show on Sunday mornings.

She said: “That is absolutely not true. You did the same with Heart.”

“Spenny gets nervous when I get asked to cover other people’s shows in Heart, he gets nervous that I’m going to start going in more and more and it just won’t suit him.”

Spencer replied: “I did the same with Heart and what happened?”

“You landed a job every single Sunday morning which involves you leaving the house at 4.15am which completely disrupts our Saturday evening sleep on the one day that we could spend the morning in bed.”

“You are out of the house and I’m left with the kids which fine, no problem, I love the kids,” he continued.

“And then it gets to the point where you’re like, ‘Great we’ve been working so hard, let’s go away for the weekend’. Ah, can’t. Vogue’s radio show.”

“And now she’s talking about spending some time in Leeds every week!”

Vogue defended her radio gig by replying: “I get up at 4.15 in the morning and I leave at 10 to five.”

“I’m back in this house by 9.20 in the morning so you’re not left with the kids, struggling all day. You’re only here until 9.20.”

Vogue added: “I don’t put my career first I don’t think. I’m not moving to Leeds, I’m going up once a week to Leeds.”

“I’m going up the night before, I have to take Gigi with me because I’m feeding her.”

Spencer and Vogue tied the knot back in 2018, and the couple are parents to their 2-year-old son Theodore, and two-month-old daughter Gigi.

On this week’s episode of Goss Chats, Goss.ie CEO Ali Ryan chats with award-winning makeup artist and MRS Glam creator, Michelle Regazolli Stone.

The celebrity MUA opens up about the ups and downs of living through the pandemic, and how her makeup range saved her.
