Virgin Media’s popular dating show Grá ar an Trá finally set to return to screens

Virgin Media Television’s original Irish dating series, Grá ar an Trá, will finally return to our screens this month.

Season two of the popular show was scheduled to air late last year, but was delayed after host Gráinne Seoige ran in the general election for Fianna Fail.

The series was pulled from Virgin Media’s autumn schedule to comply with broadcasting regulations, which stipulated candidates should not get free promotional airtime.

Virgin Media now plan to air season two of the Irish language dating show for five nights in a row from March 10th to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Bean agus ‘Man’ an Tí, Síomha Ní Ruairc and James Kavanagh will throw open the doors of the ‘Love Teach’ to a fresh batch of singletons, while Gráinne, AKA An Cinnire Grá, returns to run the rule over proceedings.

This year, contestants can secretly vote for other couples they don’t think are making enough of an effort to teach and learn.

This new twist will see the couples who aren’t pulling up their socks face the Cinnire Grá.

There’ll be even more fireworks, fun, focail and of course grá in this Gaeltacht for grown-ups as our couples compete to be crowned ‘Couple with the most focail’, walking away with €10,000!

Watch Grá ar an Trá season two, stripped across the week of Monday 10th March, weeknights at 9pm on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media One.
