Viral sensations Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew have sadly missed out on a nomination for the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Their hit song The Spark, which has racked up millions of streams since it was released in May, had been long listed on the 67th Grammy Ballot for Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Song of the Year.
While the track didn’t make the final list of nods, which were released today, the fact their song was considered amongst the world’s biggest artists was a huge achievement for the young group of Cork and Clare rappers.
The Spark was recorded by children in the Kabin Crew in North Cork and the Lisdoonvarna Crew in Clare.
The smash hit collaboration quickly went viral earlier this year, and gained the attention of global superstars.
They have since celebrated over 1.3 billion views on TikTok, half a billion views on Instagram and 51 million streams across all online streaming platforms.
The song’s success also brought them to festival stages over the summer – including Electric Picnic, All Together Now, and PukklePop in Belgium.
