Una Healy reveals why she decided to move back to Ireland

The singer moved back to her hometown on Sunday

Una Healy has revealed why she decided to move back to Ireland.

The 38-year-old relocated to her hometown of Thurles in Co Tipperary over the weekend, after spending 13 years living in the UK.

Speaking on The Ryan Tubridy Show with Oliver Callan on RTÉ Radio 1, Una said she decided to move home in case another lockdown is implemented.

“I was over there in lockdown on my own with the two kids, and I just thought if lockdown ever happened again, there’s no way I wanted to be over there on my own,” she explained.

“I’m in quarantine here now in Thurles, but I have lots and lots to be doing.”

“I’ve boxes up to the ceiling, trying to make way for all of the stuff I brought home. It’s very nostalgic as well when you come home, it’s a good feeling.”

Una also confirmed her kids Aoife Belle, 8, and Tadgh, 5, will be starting school here in September.

Her kids recently spent time with their dad Ben Foden in the US, after spending months apart due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During their visit, Ben introduced them to their baby sister Farrah.

The rugby player welcomed a baby girl with his wife Jackie Belanoff Smith in May, but had to wait until now to introduce Farrah to her siblings.

Ben and Jackie tied the knot last August, after just weeks of knowing each other.

The rugby star moved on with Jackie after splitting from Una in July 2018, after six years of marriage.

At the time, Ben was accused of cheating on Una with PR girl Becky Milne.
