TV3 star Anna Daly's young son rushed to A&E after breaking foot

Ireland AM presenter Anna Daly’s son was rushed to hospital earlier this week after breaking his foot.

The TV3 star brought him to Tallaght Hospital after two-year-old James injured himself playing football with his dad.

She said: “He was out playing football with his dad and he kicked the ground instead of the ball and his whole foot went backwards, the poor thing.”

Worried Anna first told the nation about the incident on Ireland AM after seeing first hand how great the health service can be.

And the 35-year-old told the Herald that James – who was fitted with a cast after an X-ray discovered he broke his metatarsal – didn’t even find it scary.

“We hear all the time about how poor the health service is, with the lengthy delays and the poor staffing levels and we’re so critical of it,” she said.

“For us, we had an amazingly positive experience. It seems that early Sunday morning is the best time to go to A&E as we weren’t waiting long at all.

“It was his first time ever in hospital which could have been a bit scary for him but they were brilliant, they even gave him a little teddy bear with the same bandage on.”
